-it had a very inspiring mood to it

#24

i would say i do like Christopher, because he is just really blunt and looks at things how they truly are. I am the type of person who hates when people wont say stuff to other peoples face and Christopher sure doesn't do that.

#23

26 pages into this book i am beginning to like it more and more the characters are becoming more clear and the plot is slowly starting to unravel. the theme/topic of this book is very interesting because of the way it is shown, but also because i can relate to the topic. nothing really is standing out so far personally just all around the whole book stands out.

#22

This  style of book is very different from what i am used to its interesting. I'm not to sure how i feel about it just yet but i have a feeling that i will become to like it.

#26

The murder investigation will be dropped but then just as he will be forgetting and giving up he will figure it out. Chris and his fathers relationship will begin to fall apart because they have broken the trust they once had. one major this that might happen in  the second half of the book is when Chris finally get to meet mr. shears he will find out what really happened between Mr. shears and his mom.

#21

what i have learned most about autism is that there different but acually different in a good way they seem to be way smarter than the average person. i say this because they see something and can always remeber it, its almost that they can control there minds more than the average person . when they see something they always refer back to it, there also a great worker for something that is very repetitive something that would drive the "normal" mind crazy.

#20

Austin Visschedyk is 14 years old and loves to take pictures. He goes and takes pictures and has a job as a paparazzo. He seems to be a nice kid until the fame hits him but that's like anybody when they gain fame. But if nothing else he is a confident young boy who knows what he wants in life. lastly, overall Austin Visschedyk is just like any other kid, he just following his dreams.

#19 teenage paparazzo

The boy had made a bit of sense of  insane celebrity culture until he had gained fame and let it take over. But mostly it just doesn't make sense and is a really hard life to lead being followed around everywhere. This celebrity-obsessed world that we are living in, i have learned that when you are a celebratory you do give up a lot and some times its not even worth it. They have to give up all there personal space and always having to be followed and when they screw up its 10 times worse.

#17 favorite scene

My favorite scene would be near the end when they had found the body and the older kids try and take it. I picked this scene because it really explains who each charactor is. Another reason would be it shows that you should stick up for your self and not let others form your life! lastly this scene had the main point of the book in it, it had what made the book.

#!6 favorite character

I can't really choose a favorite character. They all seemed to do something that was funny or to make you favor a person. But if i had to choose it would be Chris he had leader charactoristic, was realalistic and down to earth about things. he thought about things that not the average person thinks about, like the "boys" are not always going to be together, they will spread their seperate ways eventually. He was a smart kid he faced reality and accepted what happend. Some might say he was one to accept and leave the past behind focus on the presant and set the future.

My Hilarious Story

When my friend was 3 his mom called him into her sowing room because she had something for him. That "something" had turned out to be a bright yellow dress with red dots, which she had wanted him to try on to make sure it would fit properly on a toddler. After she found out the dress fit properly, he insisted that he wanted to sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star before he had to take the dress off. She decided it would be cute, so she led him out to the living room where his dad and grand parents sat. Embarrassed, he covered his eyes to "hide" him self from the video camera and audience and began to sing. When he finished and they decided it was time to take off the dress, he did not want to and therefor threw a temper tantrum while they did.

#15 Christopher

Christopher was a man who was getting into something that a usual city boy would not be able to achieve, but he knew that it was and  what he wanted to do. He was a creative man as you found out as the movie had progressed, The things he used and made to get by were not things that you would typically think of. The biggest thing he was, is that he was kind he would always help out people and at one point he could have killed a mom deer but didn't. Chris was a guy who didn't want to be handed stuff he wanted to work for it, work for it all explaining why he burned and gave away all of him money he had been given or earned. Finally he was not your typical person he was always looking to break out of his comfort zone and try new things like kayaking and getting over his fear of water.

my ending #14

The boys head back home, deciding to take the body and claim the reward their selves. On their way they are stopped by ace and his guys. the boys knew that this was going to be coming, just hoped it had have been later. When ace and the guys hop out of their cars the boys began to panic as they got closer and closer. Chris at the last moment remembered he still had the gun no bullets, he had lost them in the pond but he could at least move the beating to another day. He pulls out the gun, this time aiming at his brother, telling him they had better leave because he would pull the trigger this time. The guys got in the car but ace and eyeball, Chris was beginning to think that they might be trying to call his bluff. He thought what was he to do if they were on too him, all this would have done is made it worse. Both sides playing tough not showing weakness or fear, finally ace had enough he was going to hit them even if they were holding the gun. Chris had been surprised and he tensed but when tensing he had pulled the trigger shooting ace in his arm every one went silent and after a second ace screamed in pain. Chris and his friends stand there stunned, shocked, not believing what they had just witnessed. Eyeball and ace had headed back to the cars to get out of there terrified of what might happen next the boys head the rest of the way into town, to get ready for school the next morning. Not one of them even saying a little about what happened, the next day.

13 The body

The book has been a great book with lots of adventure and unexpected turns. My favorite part so far would have to be at the junk yard. There just seemed to be a bunch of moods and funny parts, it was the part that i could picture the best. The way Tommy had worded some of the taunts he had put towards the dog and how he got the junk yard owner all roweled up were priceless. There might have been some better parts but that's the one i remember the best so it must have been good.

#12 ch19

The end of chapter 19 makes me think that one of them is going to either get hurt/die or leave. because, their not going to be able to handle the tensity. When they find the body i think it might be someone they all know. they might be sickened/disturbed from the discovery they have just found some might even wish they never had. After they have found the body i think when they get back they may have been longer than they thought and get caught..

#11 ch 17

the boys were mad with the end of the story because the man could have one the contest but instead throws it and threw up over everyone. Gordie might have said that because if someone know how things are with you it might mean they are to close to you or family. the one cardinal rule for kids then was not to be out past curfew. what we learned about chris chambers is... well i honestly i don't remember hearing anything about him so personally i didn't learn anything.

#10 bullying

My opinion on bullying is it dumb. I mean the only reason it happens is because he/she has problems and is too stuborn to talk about them or when someone gets it in thier head that their better than someone or everyone. it really bugs me when it happens because there is no reason for other people to suffer because you are stuck up.

#9 body theme

a theme in the book "the body" would be emotional i would say. I chose emotional because in the book their seems to be alot of seens/stories that involve it. For instance the story about tommy and his ears being burned by his father or when tommy and the guy from the junk yard got into it. I remember the man saying things about tommies day. I also picked it because every book seems to have alot of emotion because of creating the rising action.

#8 CH 14

the train incedant in chapter 14 will effect the boys relationships by making them less trusting with eachother and maybe blaming one another. it was a possible life ending event that none of them will probebly wanna take the blame for so they might scapegoat. they might get over it in a bit of time but right away they will be super defencive.

#7 scape goats

The tori Stafford is an example of scapegoating. Near the begining of the case people seemed to attack the dad. Simlpy because he was so upset about his daughter had gone missing and he couldn't bear to speak about it. people seemed to take that as he was suspicious he had been hiding something. It turned out it wan't him and people just had no answers so they were looking for anything. This was a scapegoat because people had no facts, no answers and no fingers to point so they picked the weakest victim and went for it.

#5 teacher fired

A teacher fired for giving a zero and breaking the "no zero's" agreement. he clams that the student didn't hand in the assignment so he put a zero down. I personally don't see what he did wrong if the kid failed to meet the dead line then he deserved it. In the real world if something is due you have it in on time no excusses. the guy did nothing wrong unless preparing kids for the real world is a crime.

#6 The Body ch.13

Teddy got so angry about milo pressman bashing his dad because, he was bringing up the truth that teddy dint see what teddy blocked. althought his dad burned his ears severly he doesnt have his mom anymore. His dad he will care and like no matter what he is the only thing left. it didn't help that tommy had been making fun of the guy and taunting him. it tends things seem worse when you go from a good time to a bad time.

#4 My celebrity chosen

The greatest conflict my celebrity would have faced is getting out of his country and being seen. He came from a poor little city that isnt really spoken of and seen. Type of conflict would have had to been person .vs. world. Another example he had to impress the "world" directly (ex. coaches, fans, players, sponsers). overall person V.S. world would have to be the conflict.

#3 The lunch date

The more interesting charactor would have to be the black guy. He is seen in the station when the girl gets a salad and leaves her salad and gets a fork. When she comes back she assumes he had taken the salad and had been eating it. turns out it wasnt her salad her salad was a booth over and he still shared it. After the salad then goes and gets some coffee. This carachtor seemed to be the most interesting because they mad him look and actions look bad ye he turns out to be a good guy.

#1 back to the past

Dear 12 year old Nick
over the course of four years i have learned that well it doesnt get easyier. I say this because well you still go to school you will still have bad teachers but but you will also have good ones. high school.. well it ionteresting a lot more freedom you can go out for lunch and well teachers wont be nagging you to do this do that , as much. i probebly should have started with grade 8 but insted i jumped to high school well because its not really bad four years and your out in the real world, anyways grade 8 well again interesting but by the end of it you will feel ready and set to go to high school. One last thing before i go well becareful high school has gone by faster than i have realized.
